Some readers have probably seen a boxing kangaroo on exhibition and may have listened with sympathy to the harangue of the owner who dramatically told of numberless hours of grueling labor spent in training his prodigy. Possibly he even claimed that his particular kangaroo was the only boxing kangaroo in the world. Such claims are far from true.
Even wild kangaroos are quite adept at boxing and sometimes amuse themselves by sparring with each other. While a kangaroo may become more manageable with training, it is very questionable whether its boxing ability is improved by the attention of the trainer.
